West Ham United have reportedly demanded that Anthony Martial be involved in a sensational swap deal, should Manchester United want to steal their star man Dimitri Payet. Earlier reports this month have indicated that the Red Devils are keen to bolster their attacking options by signing the French international in either January or in the summer, while further reports have suggested that the deal is close to happening after Jose Mourinho spoke directly with the player on the phone.
However, according to French news outlet Le10Sport, the Hammers are prepared to stand strong in keeping their main man, but if they are to let the playmaker move to Old Trafford this season, United forward Martial coming the other way to east London will have to be a part of the deal.
After his big money move from Monaco, reported to be worth as much as £57.6 million, in 2015, the French starlet has endured a stuttering start to his life in Manchester, and has been in and out of the side under manager Jose Mourinho this season, while also being publicly criticised for his work effort on the pitch.
